There's an article I read the other day.  We pay billions for what we could just get right out of the tap.  It is a little discomforting to know my water comes from the lower Potomac River though...   :-\

The question for me has never been the source so much as the purification of the water. Is bottled, purified, water like aquafina, better than tap water? Taste and contaminates? We filter our tap water, because of taste.

According to NB's link, at least Evian is from a "natural" source..."Among the many bottled waters from natural sources are Calistoga and Arrowhead of California, Poland Spring of Maine, Volvic, Evian and the favorite of many celebs, FIJI."

But it's not just the water, it's all those water bottles! How much waste goes into landfills just from them. I've been preaching this to my wife for months! I've sent her both these articles, maybe hearing it from someone besides me will help... ;)

That stuff has never claimed to be anything more than "filtered water."  No sugar, no flavorings, no CO2, just water in a bottle.  Talk about a cash cow!   //?  We have our own Britta pitcher, and our own "artesian well" in the front yard.  Maybe I should start bottling and selling water.... >:D

saw on tv last night that some us rep wants to tax bottled water....
