Title: Ad Update!
Post by: Woolly Bugger on June 01, 2016, 11:22:20 AM
As you may have noticed there are ads on the BRFFF board, these are served up by Amazon's new pay by the view ad service. This new service is the best option, since google's adsense nixed me, to generated a modest monthly income to off set the cost of the board. They appear on the header and after the first message in a thread.

There is also an Amazon Banner Ad in the footer of the main page. If you plan to make a purchase from Amazon, please consider clicking on this ad and making your purchase, the BRFFF will receive a commission on the sale.

Thank you for your support!

Wish I'd have known a day earlier-I placed an Amazon order Tuesday. I buy a lot of stuff off Amazon, so I'll try to remember to go through here next time.

Thanks!!

One member made a purchase, by clicking through on the Amazon Ads last month and another has made a purchase this month.

It's simple, if you are going to make a purchase from Amazon, just click through on one of the Amazon banners (there is always one on the bottom of the page) and then do your shopping.

Thanks again for your support!

WOW! It looks like there were five unique Amazon Orders placed last month y;

Clicking on those links and placing orders will bring the BRFFF into the black for the first time in years!

Keep up the good work!
So far this past month it looks like there have been 4 or 5 orders placed, totaling about 15 items!!!

Thanks for your continued support.

And don't forget The Annual Smite Champion Award is moving into the 4th quarter, with Driver in the lead with the largest negative total!

I buy stuff from amazon probably every other day, I need to try to and remember to use your referral link.

BTW, not sure they are hitting me with the right targeted merchandise, maybe this is compiled based on the general forum users...

I'll try to remember this.  I spend a lot of money on Amazon.  Too bad I have to pay taxes on there now.  We didn't have to for several years here in SC due to part of the deal to bring that Amazon facility here.   n!n

Glad to see some success using the Amazon ad. I've made several purchases, and intend to start using that link for store purchases as well. I even told my dad earlier to let me know when he needed something from Amazon, so I could utilize the link.

as you may have notice there haven't been any third party ads served up from Amazon. They have discontinued there cpm ad program so the BRFFF no longer generated any income from you just viewing the regular Amazon ads, i.e. HOB, Prime, etc. We now only receive credit if you click through on the ads prior to making an Amazon purchase.

Please remember to use the ads as a portal to Amazon before making a purchase, your support is appreciated!

The BRFFF no longer receives revenue simply from ad views, but the amazon affiliate program still provides funding when you click through on an ad and make a purchase, any purchase, not just the advertised products. Please keep this in mind when planning to buy from Amazon.

We thank those of you who help keep the board alive by using our amazon affiliate links!

I never see any Amazon ads.
I have saved the Permanent Amazon Link that you had posted and use it whenever I buy through Amazon. Just made a small purchase this afternoon. I have never seen anything during or after purchase that would suggest any relationship to BRFFF.
Prior to using this link I used a link made available through a Foundation that we support, and whenever I purchased something there was a comment suggesting that a contribution had been made to that foundation.
What ya think?

So $567.98 in total sales through the Amazon link gained the forum $27.88? Correct?

I've been trying my best to remember to use the link for all of my personal purchases. I've made a note here on my work desktop that helps remind me to use the link for all purchases for the store as well. This will help, I assure you. :cheers

You must have an ad blocker...
Didn't have the admod installed after last update, they should be back now-- my bad...

I don't know how the foundation set up that acknowledgement...

I do now see the banner ad at the foot of the page. Also, found out that the program that shows a contribution acknowledgement while purchasing is "Amazon Smile" designed for charitable organizations.

Amazon did away with their banner ads, its now product specific and I don't have the time or inclination to deal with dealing with it, so there is just the link at the top of the home page.

I somehow got reinstated with google Adsense and ran their ads for a couple of months, but yesterday a problem developed in the BRFFF database and crashed the board, I've removed the ads, may or may not pursue a fix for them.

That is all.... :drum
