Title: Fontana Lake
Post by: red-haired-boy on September 16, 2005, 11:18:17 AM
The lake level is down about 10 feet from summer pool. Noticing this as I was going to another spot yesterday I stopped at  one of the creeks that feeds Fontana. My favorite access point had been underwater but is now useable.  I was going to go upstream for trout but after casting a popper and getting action I decided to go after the panish instead. Got some action on poppers and a green flashy wooly bugger. Mostly small bluegill and sun fish but a few smallmouth and largemouth- the biggest was 11"or so (all c+r'd and told to go bring me there grandpa.)
So the lake level is down and the panfish are fun.
