Anybody fish in or near Spartanburg? I've lived here for several years, but have always went to the mountains for trout. I would like to start warm water fly fishing in the area, but don't have a kayak. Are there any public ponds that would be worth my time? What about any streams or rivers that are wadeable?
Lansford Canal at Rock Hill has great wading and plenty of fish. It probably won't be good now due to the dams running wide ass open. Hartwell has some places on it that you can wade around the bank.
