This sort of statement, overflowing with hubris and inflated significance, makes my ass want to suck a lemon.  Many of us are worthy of and tardy for having our asses handed to us.

Santorum's dad came over with a load of olive oil and hard cheese circa 1930. So what's all this "we" shit about a blank slate?
Santorum and his ilk = deplorable pieces of racist dog shit.

Bigotry is a symptom of ignorance.  Some are ignorant because they don't know they're ignorant, and others are purposefully ignorant because it is more convenient to be ignorant.  Santorum is the latter. The term racist is too broad, but we can all agree his Santorums remarks very ignorant.

I'd enjoy seeing a wolf in the wild at least once.  I have no issue with peppering wolves with paintballs if it will save them.

I wonder if they considered hazing park visitors.  I am sure a paintball sniper spraying paintballs, scorching pedestrians and vehicles, would eliminate traffic and gawking problems.  And I am sure the wolves would have a great chuckle.

This is one smart wolf.

<Smith ran through a story about a wolf that grew up right around people near the Lamar Valley. When it became a yearling, it stole someone's tripod, and they had two options, to either put it down, or try and dehabituate it.

"It was our worst wolf, but we hit him numerous times and eventually, that wolf moved away from the road and started a new pack. It's a success story for sure.">

Cades Cove had red wolves introduced back in the early 90's.  Red wolves are the only wolf species to live only within the borders of the continental United States.

I went to spend spring break with my grandparents in the Smokies one of those years (always the outdoors kid).  My grandmother and I were walking around the Cades Cove loop and saw a small pack (5-7) of red wolves harassing the cattle out in the pastures.  I had a camera with me, but not my 300mm lens.  I snapped a couple of pics and with a really good loupe, I can see a few of them on the 16x20 print I made from that encounter.

I always wished they had thrived.  Beautiful creatures.
