I left the NC coast behind to return to the White Mountains and beautiful little native trout of Arizona. Fished the Little Colorado and the North Fork of the White over the last several days. Caught a number of Apache Trout, mostly small with a few approaching the 16 inch mark. Apparently there has been some stocking taking place and many of the locals are not very pleased.

My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Hippie beer, scenery, fish porn, or wild naked titties. When you had show and tell in school didn't you bring something to show? Draw a damn picture or something :;!

Sorry if I violated a forum code. I used to take pictures of fish, but unless I catch something unusual, I now try to release them as quickly as possible. Gives the fish a better chance of survival and gets me back to fishing quicker.
Was up at Lake Mary (Flagstaff) last week and caught a number of nice Northern Pike on streamers and sliders. Fishing from a float tube and no camera, so I won't bore you with a separate report.
Anyone that has fished enough already knows what most of the fish look like. No problem with those that choose to photograph every 8-12 inch fish they catch, but with few exceptions, they do all start to look the same.

I agree unless it some very special fish I don't photograph them either.  But i sure do like to take pics of great places/rivers and wildlife which creates a sense of the local.

I think what people were trying to point out to you, was Apache Trout are sorta thin on the ground around here, and we would kinda like to see a picture of a freshly caught one.  Just curious, but what do the locals do to people they are not pleased with?  Ant hills come to mind.  ( I've read my Louis L'amour) -0-

I hear they are going to catch some in that new version of "True Grit".
