My first post on here - not getting enough attention on my usual delayed-harvest 10 inch rainbow obsessed fly fishing forums so I'll try here. Having some good success in my local tailwater on #16 Elk Hair Caddis on 6x tippet (for those who don't appreciate clousers and surf candy).

By coincidence I took inventory of my box of striper flies today - mostly clousers but they work well on the Roanoke. Watching the websites for reports - won't be long now. Might even give the shad a try - they are in now and will likely peak this week or next.
