damn this heat wave sux, so I took off at 4 for the high country, western slope water. She's been up and down with the thunderstorms, down to 450 when I got there. Old timer pulled up to talk, wanted to know if I knew doc so and so whom he hadn't seen fishing in a while.

Geared up, tied on a new panic button, i really like the loos of this one in the water. Visibility was only about 18 inches. Went low, thunder over the ridge. Turned and went back upstream, covered a lot of water, but the river was a bit pushy and with the low visibility I didn't get out too far. Caught a couple of dinkish fish. But it was 75 degrees, the water felt warmer than last week.

Snap T cast is working better, but out of frustration I did overhead cast a few times, that rod will shoot some line... just need to get the spey cast to load better... I don't have a problem with double spey...

maybe I shoulda switched flies...  <-;:

ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!
me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
