Title: Newt
Post by: Mudwall Gatewood 3.0 on May 31, 2016, 09:02:52 AM
This story has the potential to be a great movie.  I am looking forward to it opening soon.

Reading about Newt, he seems like my kind of fella.

I believe this was mentioned in the chat box a few weeks ago. Should be a good film.

That looks badass.  How did I miss this?  Did it go to the theaters?  Where is it now?

Yes, it was in the theaters, I saw it and i give it 3 stars. Enjoyable, a bit over the top, but that's entertainment!
Looks like you can stream it on Amazon for a few bucks...

MudzĀ®, what's the book you read on Newt? I'd like to check it out if it's any good.

I watched the movie on DVD from redbox a few weeks back. I thought it was well made & Matthew McConaughey was good in it. Not sure when I started liking his stuff, maybe around True Detective, but he's done some good roles lately.

I've seen the movie several times, have a copy.  It ain't bad; I simply like the message.  I often wonder if I would have had the balls to stand up for my beliefs against such coercion.  Newt seemed to have the cojones, if the history is true.  Piss on those cracker-assed treasonous rebels!!

Anybody seen "Gold?" McConaughey again. It was interesting.

I must admit, I didn't open up this thread when it was first posted.  I thought it was Mudwall talking about Newts.  Glad I opened it up.

Probably not.  You want to own a bass boat.  That is all I needed to know to answer that question.

IIRC it moves pretty slow.  Kind of like, well, mud.
