It's not like I've needed those flies... or in the near future. Plenty of time to tie though.
I'm dumb for joining. . .
what kind of bug you tying?
Might be interested if it did not involve hook sizes that don't have an /O in them, half a chicken, pail of wool and three deer tails per fly..........
I'm in contingent one rule: no musky ties
How about three of your favorite tailwater flies?
My resolution: Wet flies. Tie more, fish more. You fukkers are getting some, too.
Sent from my LG-US998 using Tapatalk
I've been tying soft hackles lately. Will probably be a mix of that and some small stones.
Speaking of soft hackles and catching fish, this is one mean mutha. Everyone should have one of these in their box!

Well, count me in. I got a lighted magnifier for Christmas (last year) that is dying to be used on something smaller than size 14 . . .

I'll play, since no 1/0 flies I may have to throw in some mini articulated streamers.
I need the motivation to tie some non musky flies. And receive some little bugs on the trade.
I remember my pre musky days when I caught fish when I went fishing. Good Times.

If a warning is placed on a product label or posted or distributed at a workplace, a business, or in rental housing, the business issuing the warning is aware or believes that it is exposing individuals to one or more listed chemicals.
By law, a warning must be given for listed chemicals unless the exposure is low enough to pose no significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

We did articulated streamers last year. Some great flies came out of that swap.

One of my favorites was a rabbit hair sculpin (brown) tied by @dougfish that tore it up last Saturday. After about 4 fish, a tree claimed it. High water prevented me from rescuing it.

Hi My name is Austin, I did not share last year. How many flies do we each tie for the swap and what's the due date?
11 flies since this is an OCD person's worse nightmare swap.
Usually you include a few extras for the swapmeister for doing the work. Also include return postage or some cash to get flies back to you.
Due date      Go ahead and throw out a date but guarantee you it'll be futile.

Chickabou Soft Hackle Streamer - slightly different look than a Wooly Bugger.
I utilize these in low current sections of waters big and small. Fishing these painfully slow allows the full body bou fly to undulate properly. In theory this entices fish in sections of water where the fish know they have all day to observe the fly before committing to an eat.
Have to tie up a few more to get my dozen done.

1. Kudos to those that send SASE with a container for the flies... suggestions include altoid tins, fly shop pucks, or other types of rigid boxes.
2. Bonus points for correct postage.
3. Minus points for standard envelopes...

Now if they shut down the generator next week I'll give them a try on the Smith.
