It's not like I've needed those flies... or in the near future.  Plenty of time to tie though.

Might be interested if it did not involve hook sizes that don't have an /O in them, half a chicken, pail of wool and three deer tails per fly..........

I've been tying soft hackles lately. Will probably be a mix of that and some small stones.

Speaking of soft hackles and catching fish, this is one mean mutha.  Everyone should have one of these in their box!

I'll play, since no 1/0 flies I may have to throw in some mini articulated streamers.
I need the motivation to tie some non musky flies. And receive some little bugs on the trade.
I remember my pre musky days when I caught fish when I went fishing. Good Times.

QuoteWhat does a warning mean?
If a warning is placed on a product label or posted or distributed at a workplace, a business, or in rental housing, the business issuing the warning is aware or believes that it is exposing individuals to one or more listed chemicals.
By law, a warning must be given for listed chemicals unless the exposure is low enough to pose no significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

makes you wonder what specifically chemical / element that is in sufficient quantity to cause harm?  <-;:

We did articulated streamers last year.  Some great flies came out of that swap.

https://www.brfff.com/forum/index.php/topic,15080.0.html

One of my favorites was a rabbit hair sculpin (brown) tied by @dougfish that tore it up last Saturday.  After about 4 fish, a tree claimed it.  High water prevented me from rescuing it.

Hi My name is Austin, I did not share last year. How many flies do we each tie for the swap and what's the due date?
Title: Re: Annual BRFFF Fly SWAP? version '19
Post by: Big J on January 03, 2019, 10:08:42 AM
11 flies since this is an OCD person's worse nightmare swap.

Usually you include a few extras for the swapmeister for doing the work.  Also include return postage or some cash to get flies back to you.

Due date      Go ahead and throw out a date but guarantee you it'll be futile.

Olive Soft hackles!

I plan to tie up a bunch of Galloup's Found Link because I've yet to tie a decent dry fly.  Since he never goes below size 18, y'all are getting size 16.

Just need to pick a color . . .

Preferences?

Chickabou Soft Hackle Streamer - slightly different look than a Wooly Bugger.

I utilize these in low current sections of waters big and small. Fishing these painfully slow allows the full body bou fly to undulate properly. In theory this entices fish in sections of water where the fish know they have all day to observe the fly before committing to an eat.

Have to tie up a few more to get my dozen done.

Charge him for the bote ride.

I'll bring beers to the Smiff and we'll see if the whinner shows up.

1. Kudos to those that send SASE with a container for the flies... suggestions include altoid tins, fly shop pucks, or other types of rigid boxes.

2. Bonus points for correct postage.

3. Minus points for standard envelopes...

here is my score sheet with $$ owed by @itieuglyflies, @Dougfish, and @streamereater_101691 (PM me)

But you did get lots of extra flies to lose!

Lesson #1, you can't use metered postage three days (5 in some cases) beyond the purchase date.  n!n

Mine showed up last Friday.

I fished yesterday, but none of those yet.

I didn't catch anything anyways.  SC water sucks for trout . . .

Just arrived home from trip to Florida and found the box of flies - Good work guys. Sorry mine were not as fancy but at least I got them in on time :P

Now if they shut down the generator next week I'll give them a try on the Smith.
