Well, it is 10 degrees in Twin and my season is over.  It was the good the bad and the ugly with wet big water til July and then finally some good fishing.  In fact some great hopper fishing which is the best and some spruce moths on the Big Hole and small stream dry fly fishing, and then days throwing streamers at big trout!.  It is all very good .

A few pics.

"I AM THE TRANSYL WADER!"

"I don't give a shit who you are boy, I asked whatcha doin'"

"I AM THE TRANSYL WADER!"

"That's it boy, you're in a heap of trouble."

"I AM THE TRANSYL WADER!"

Good stuff TB............ 'c;

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

Thank you.  It is so wonderful to have the chance to get to know this countryside and these rivers.  And there are some damn good people as well.

From my Journal

Summer comes slowly to big rivers
Charged by snowmelt and rain
We are anxious thinking of it all
Then it is more than we wanted

Nothing to do but accept natures gifts
She rearranges the rivers at will
Nothing is the same even tailwaters
Flow large and long and move strucure

Finally they settle to their new form
Old lessons now must be relearned
Summer only starts when Autumn shows
Our treasured season will not last
Unless Indian Summer arrives and lingers

Surely that will be what happens to this
Or will Winter fly quickly through the hills
Leaving us with the lost days gone by
And with only the wistful hope for next

But hope is still alive for these riverstalkers
It will last and only be more than we have known
Gin clear over washed gravels  graded by fast water
As mountain tops once again grow white crest
