Post by: lepomis_mcro on May 19, 2007, 17:45:32 PM
fished lookout again... yea i know big suprise ;)

fished between 1-5 pm, water was 68/ little stain to it

fished the flat looking for carp and found a huge school of white bass, the school streached along the banks
of a whole cove. you might not have been hooking a fish every cast but it sure felt like it. we were fishing
nymphs to them. i had on clousers swiming nymph in the colors of olive, and brown. steve was fishing damselfly nymphs.

i used a mustad nymph size 8. i was tying them for the carp so i wanted them big. as i was casting to the carp the white bass were taking them.. so i stopped trying for the carp. took the fly of my 8wt, tied the fly on a 4wt, its not every day i get into white bass
