I went fishing today with our resident halibut expert AKAaron.  It was hot dry fly action all day.

That hole usually has several fish in it, and can typically be counted upon for a brown trout.  BTW, that brown you caught certainly was porky.  Man, those October caddis are out early.
I was born by the river in a little tent, And just like the river I've been running ever since, It's been a long, long time coming, But I know change is gonna come.

Solid!

I'm jealous.

All I did today was break the lawnmower.

Again.

We saw at least a dozen nice fish cruising around in there.  I believe Aaron snatched a few of them.

What you are seeing is right about normal flow for this stream and this time of year.

Here is a pic last year and then this year of the same pool, both about the same time of year.  Pictures are slightly offset from one another but you get the gist.

Oh wow! I would have figured this to be much higher than last year and they are about spot on. Shows me how much actually grasp about seasonal water flows.

Nice John, perfect photo match up from 2012 to 2013.

Going back and looking at my report from last year and I was surprised how much higher up the browns were consistently present last year versus this year.
