The Coasters - Charlie Brown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UnPzp2lmNk#)
I went fishing today with our resident halibut expert AKAaron. It was hot dry fly action all day.

That hole usually has several fish in it, and can typically be counted upon for a brown trout. BTW, that brown you caught certainly was porky. Man, those October caddis are out early.
Solid!
I'm jealous.
All I did today was break the lawnmower.
Again.

We saw at least a dozen nice fish cruising around in there. I believe Aaron snatched a few of them.
I usually dont get excited over crickin' TRs but that was badass.
Nice! 'c;
And hand shadow puppets, too!

What you are seeing is right about normal flow for this stream and this time of year.
Here is a pic last year and then this year of the same pool, both about the same time of year. Pictures are slightly offset from one another but you get the gist.

Oh wow! I would have figured this to be much higher than last year and they are about spot on. Shows me how much actually grasp about seasonal water flows.

Nice John, perfect photo match up from 2012 to 2013.
Going back and looking at my report from last year and I was surprised how much higher up the browns were consistently present last year versus this year.
Ole TM used to fish up in thar. Y'all must have gone down a bit lower to catch those invasive swine browns and bows. Well played gents 'c;
I was hounding the cousin drainage and boy did we fuck them up -+;
Another view.

You guys are such trout geeks
and Im jealous. I live right now the road and havent hit that drainage one time this year. Or fished with DWB, The Dude, or AK. Probably wont get to fish that river this year.
Maybe Ill see you guys this winter on the Dirty.
You'll see me on the D as some as this approaching wintermagedon sets in.
I'll PM you in a week or so when the box gets in if that's any consultation.

X2.
If we get an actual winter The Douche may beckon.
AK Aaron, nice pictures by the way. (I forgot to add that to my other post)
Found a pic last night when going through some old photos that serves well as a 2012 to 2013 photo match up. Top picture was a picture I took in 2012, bottom is one I took in 2013, both the same time of year. You can definitely tell the water levels, despite all the rain this year, are fairly close.

Those high gradient streams do a job of moving water. I'm always amazed at how quickly they clear up and how long water levels on bigger rivers stay up.
