I'm long overdue for some after-work fishing, so today Peter and I left work at 4:00 and hit a close by trout stream. I haven't fished this stream in 4 years, glad I decided to bring my little whip, 6.5' 3 wt...this stream is a lot smaller than I remember.

my thoughts as well..
Fuck. Shit. Up

Out of curiosity, how much time did you have to fish? After driving from work, hiking in, and allowing time to hike out? Always nice to have an after work trip.
Thanks for the reminder I need to fish after work more -0-
I keep telling myself I'm going to do that soon.

How's that Even Keel? Say, in comparison to Slow Ride?
Stick with the slow ride or better yet, pinner.

I think we fished 2.5 hours. Left work at 4:00, was home by 8:30. Was in the water fishing by about 4:45, stopped fishing at 7:15 to hike back.

Gotcha, thanks. I've been planning to do more after work fishing as I used to do. The hike and drive kills the majority of the time I have before dark.
Plenty of marginal water within half an hour of me, much better options, and pretty much most of what I fish is in play at 45 minutes. The extra 15 minutes of travel time makes a big difference for me.
Maybe I'll just leave early a lot. Fuk it.
Yes, I do fish occasionally. Especially when I can leave work early to do so. Plus, I do not like to brag. :D
Peter P on a blue line, that's what's up.
