Title: Big Flathead Catfish...
Post by: croaker on May 06, 2006, 20:06:33 PM
One of our customers brought this big Flathead Catfish into the store for us to dress for her.
Don't know where it was caught as she said someone gave it to her.  I'm guessing the Altamaha drainage.  60 lbs  46 inches long.  Biggest freshwater fish we've ever dressed.

Picture of my daughter pulling the fish outta a 120 qt. cooler.

My brother holding the fish up for other customers to see.

Laid out on the cleaning table...  It's a two man job to get the hide off of one this size.

Hope these things don't get into the Ogeechee.  They have really hurt the Altamaha drainage Bream fishing from what I've heard....
