I put a lot of time into these beasts.  After the moment was over, I thought back and wished it lasted just a bit longer.  They are few and far between.  Lots of fleeting glimpses without much tangible result.  Yesterday was a great Fall day on the water.  Cool temps, gentle breeze, falling leaves (maybe a few too many of these), good company, tasty gas station food.  Water was still like a lake many places.  We could use some rains. 









Here's to a long and prosperous 2013/2014 Musky season.

Lets bring this warm water thread back alive.

Drifts and I Hit some water this morning for some striper action.  The sky pissed rain on us all day long, luckily we dodged a few big storms.  Striper action was alright, but what do I know, first time I've ever fished like this for them in a boat.  I managed to boat one blind casting within the first couple hours.  Had a couple flashes and Drifts had a couple hits on his honkin musky fly.  Even got to chase the birds a little bit.

Drifts trying to get him one.

Especially when your in a drift boat blind casting with flies all day long.  It's a down rigging/trolling/motor boating to baitfish boils kind of striper fishing and we are out in a drift boat with fly rods.  Drifts is da man for even taking his boat out there, I'm just the lucky person tagging along with him.
