Headed over to TX's neck of the woods and met up with Befuddled. We were styling in a riverside cabin that overlooked some priceless water. Drove up at O'dark o'clock so I could scout out some new water and was not disappointed. I was also stoked coz it's been a month since I have slung my broomstick. She impressed right off the bat.

Found over 14 creeks, some with all three species. Beautiful bluelines...

Headed over several ridges to chase some wild cockroaches.

Came up on a rip rap embankment, decided to bail before the landower spotted me. This coiled fuck was silently waiting to scare the shit outta me.

I looked around and very quickly managed to plan a swift descent back into the creek. Quick footing, I shit you not, I was lucky I didn't get busted wide open...

Drove even further up the mountain to find the jewel of Appalachia, the wily Speck.

The places these guys are found, never ceases to amaze me with the beauty and solitude of high elevation streams.

Headed to the cabin, busted up good, bleeding and such, and whacked down several beers.

Took TX and Befuddled down a beauty of a blueline. Sadly, we had someone in front of us, which royally sucked coz we hiked 1.5 miles down to find someone had driven their truck all the way down.  Decided to fish anyways and the numbers were dismal, water levels pretty bad too.

The hike out took the wind out of our sails. Sweat smelt heavily of alcohol. Not bad.
Dinner time and tie up some flies.

Today we headed over to another locale to find new water. A stop at the local grocery store revealed a rich bastard who drives a really shit truck.

This creek we fished was in and out of private property. A storm rolled in when we hit the headwaters, we drove back down the road and black rain turned to blazing sunshine and bluebird skies.
