Hit one of my favorite 3 brookie streams again today for a 3 hour fish on a fine warm spring day. Got into fish immediately, and managed to blow taking photos of the first two feesh that turned out to be the best of the trip (of course b'; ). Camera dropping onto the water, fumbling and floundering around, etc. Aaack. Next came a durn rainbow -- only the second I've ever caught in this stretch of the creek. Then it was back to little brookies. No 10 inchers, just a steady stream of pretty little punes with a decent one every now and then. Didn't take many pics, but caught at least 20 altogether. All in all, a fine day alone with my little friends.

That is a fine way to spend part of a nice day! Love those little specks. I'd rather catch them than about any other fish. I'm about to head out and see if I can find a trout this afternoon.
Nice way to spend the day!
