With the growth in numbers and new faces showing up at each PFF, we, the straw bosses, decided we needed to post some guidelines for each of our events. These guidelines are consistent with the original intent for these events.
The Spring PFF is held in Shady Valley, Tennessee on the third weekend in May. There is no preset limitation on the number of attendees other than logistics. Non-fishing spouses are welcome at this event. Children are limited to those that fly fish. We prefer that children be at least sixteen years old but that can be dealt with on an individual basis. Our main concern with children is that passing the jar of stomp around the campfire is part of the tradition. Everyone must sign a liability waiver.
The Fall PFF is our rover event. It is held in a different, from the previous Fall PFF, area each year to hopefully allow people that can't make it to Shady Valley to be able to attend at least one of these events. Non-fishing spouses are welcome if there is not a limitation on the number of attendees. Children are limited to those that fly fish. We prefer that children be at least sixteen years old but that can be dealt with on an individual basis. If there is a limitation on the numbers of attendees, only fly fishers will be accepted for the first week of sign up. If all slots are not filled in the first week, non-fishing spouses will be allowed.
The Smallie Show is our family event. It is held in a family campground on the banks of a smallmouth river. Non-fishing spouses and children are welcome at this event. Everyone must sign a liability waiver.
No guns or illegal drugs allowed in camp at any of the events. We basically expect everyone to act like civilized human beings.
