Went down to Harkers with a buddy of mine, the fat alberts were there. put a good bend in the 10 weights and screamed the drags...crazy good fighters. deep into the backing on almost every run V:; small anchovy/silversides were the way to go. first time doing it..I think we did alright, hardest thing is not getting the line wrapped around you or any part of the boat on their initial couple runs, just imagine a triple! we had 3 of them! and quite a few double ups as well. The fish would break the surface for 30 seconds sometimes and every boat around would run right through them and put em down...guess that's just how it is when the albies are blitzing. we got lucky and found a few pods of our own. Also caught as many blues as we could handle on the fly and on gear across the shoals..they eat anything that hits the water including dolphin flies and amberjack poppers..we cut the hooks off when we got tired of unhooking them. I cant wait to do it again!

those anchovie patterns are killer.. the clousers were a little big i think. ill tie them next time i get to go, gotta get some CCG. thanks for chattin when i came in! we should carp fish sometime! Ill print out a pic sometime and come hang er on the wall down there
