ran into a wreck just of of town of the steep hill, several cars were off the road and the police advised to "go back to town and have breakfast, this will take a while.

After getting a cup of coffee I headed back, they had set up a detour on the old road to bypass the wreck.

There were many rescue vehicles and a helicopter on the road.

Finally got to the river an hour late, sure was pretty with the dusting of snow...

I worked on downstream in the freezing rain. Ice built up heavily in the guides and eventually covered the entire rod.

The water was freezing on the line as i stripped it in..

Caught a decent bow and a handful of smalish browns before Karl and Mike finally reached the river. There was a huge pile up on I-26 due to the same storm icing the road.

Worked the water and caught some more bows on a #22 zebra. On one run they were all over it. Hooked eight in 45 minutes but only landed two. Got some good aerobatics from the others.

Did a bird get to that second to last bow?  Looks like a rake above the gill cover.

Gorgeous pics.

Rick, you looked a tad chilly holding that fish.  I noticed the water behind you was shallow, so you obviously didn't need me to lead the way! :)
