I've been waiting for the opportunity to lace up some new sinking line. That opportunity presented itself today and it turns out the damn thing works.

Then came home and retied to compensate for all the flies I left buried in the rocks. You want hippie brew? I'm a sucker for micros in cans.

The shad are at full force on the Potomac, and I'm glad I got out because another opportunity seems far off.
Sinking lines take some getting used to but are the way to go for deeper water. it is great being able to use less weight and lighter flies. Nice Shad- much bigger than our local variety.
Damn those things look similar to Tarpon!

You better get your azz up to Richmond next March or early April. You'll break that streak in no time!
