mellow temperatures greeted jeff and i yesterday as we parked on the gravel forest road up above swan's cabin on santeelah.

this is one of our favorite stretches of water in the old north state. breathtakingly beautiful as you pocket jump and fish some nice pools through the gorge.

we both caught a bunch of fish, browns and bows, and jeff, near the end of the day, caught a nice native brookie of about 8 inches..... completing the slam.

i'm getting old..... sore as hell today from the trek.....
