I worked with the DGIF crew while they shocked the Smith River to see what is there. The section they shocked while I was there was about 275 yards long and they counted and measured about 700 brown trout. That is hard to believe considering how many I usually catch in an outing. A section they shocked yesterday was about 300 yards long and contained about 500 brown trout. The largest brown trout they measured in this section was 13.5 inches. It was a fun day. I've got some pictures, but they are too large and I will try to adjust them and attached a couple of pictures to a future post. ;D
