Title: "Shocking" Smith
Post by: Larry on August 01, 2007, 16:42:06 PM
I worked with the DGIF crew while they shocked the Smith River to see what is there. The section they shocked while I was there was about 275 yards long and they counted and measured about 700 brown trout. That is hard to believe considering how many I usually catch in an outing. A section they shocked yesterday was about 300 yards long and contained about 500 brown trout. The largest brown trout they measured in this section was 13.5 inches. It was a fun day.  I've got some pictures, but they are too large and I will try to adjust them and attached a couple of pictures to a future post.  ;D
