Title: Too Long
Post by: Dougfish on November 12, 2021, 10:52:13 AM

53
I haven't been on a stream in a while. After a month of being a responsible adult and all the chores that involved, I needed a walk in the woods.
At least that.
Late Wed morning, I decided to throw some gear in the truck and head for the water.
72 degree air, 51 degree water.  Trees were about 3/4 done dropping leaves.
The leaf hatch was real.
I didn't pull the camera out much, and my pics suck, so there's that.
But I caught a dozen in a couple of hours.
Got the slam. Nothing of size.
They did not want the dry. The double nymph rig was the ticket.

I'm lucky to have 2 of them.
Perfect style, click pawl, RH or LH wind.
Stuart Manufacturing.
No maker markings. Made in CT. Late 40's?
Relatively heavy. Balances the old glass rods well.

Looks like a good day in the woods. Symphoricarpos for the win.
