~2years planning and prep, burned up the trails at Pandapas Pond to get in shape, 11 days door to door, 5 day season, CO elk.

Dulles to Denver


Did lots of driving around, hiking, glassing, and scouting to find these.


I caught this delicious elk.



One of the other guys got this one, but I got a lot of time under the pack...


Got in some fishing on the Taylor before heading home.  Lots of browns and a couple bows, no fish pics as I didn't feel like drowning my phone.  Didn't go high enough to get any of the fat mysis hogs...



Strange catch - huge snagging hook, with a san juan worm and zug bug in tow...

Theres nothing like having the crosshairs on an elk.  If i had to choose an animal to exclusively chase itd be hands down elk. 

The snag hook is for when the Kokanee run upstream, delicious and they are gonna die anyway, so why not?
