In my younger days I can remember walking out from a backcountry stream in the Smokies and getting a whiff of a strong onion like smell...after about 30 minutes I came across a couple of older gentlemen in overalls and brogans carrying cane poles...as I overtook them I noticed that the front pockets of the overalls were stuffed with these morsels and each man was chewing one as they walked...will never forget that sight or smell.

We've been harvesting them for a few years now and are planning to go out in a few weeks.
