Today was a good day for quality time on the Smith below TC.  Most everyone flocked to the dam in an attempt to pick up a few of the stockers left from earlier in the week.

The morning did start off a bit frustrating for me.  At about 7:30, they started nailing those tiny grey midges.  Since I am the most prepared angler, I didn't have anything close enough to fool those spooky fingerlings.  I did try a size 18 grey duster with a size 18 zebra midge dropper.  Nothing.  Not small enough...

Finally, there was something in the box that worked.  After a few misses from poor timing, I managed to bring a few like this to hand.

No Leroys from the honey-hole that phlyfisher speaks about.

I reached my climax when I found this stocker.

I did turn several rocks and found NO shortage of bugs.  Spring is just a few short weeks away.
