Had planned on leaving the house at 7 am, I get off work at 3am and figured
I would be fishing by 9.  Well plans got jacked, didn't get up till 8am and ran out the door. 30mins in I realize I left my waders at home, they were hanging up with sealant drying on a iffy area in one heal.  So I turn around go home grabbed them and bust ass back north.  I had planned on hiking atleast 2 miles in but with my late arrival I decided to start fishing right away and see what I could do.  Well I got skunked again, I have never had much luck in this area but figured a morning fishing was better then sleeping.  I ended up fishing about 2 miles upstream. Not all was fishing some was hiking trying to find what there was to offer.  I ended up stopping about where I had planned on started.  Next I will hike in and start where I left off.

Weather was nice, water was super clear and there were a decent few hatches gong on here and there.
I did take a few pics of the area, but sorry no fish porn

This creek was so big that a high hole was virtually impossible.

Transylwader

Damn, shes looking good. Now if I could just finish up on-call. I'll hit you up within the next two weeks. Take it from the top, the hike from the bottom is at least 3 miles one way, pain in the arse.

FoulHook

Oh yeah. You gotta do her up high and gentle like. She'll only submit to you once you show you are committed to her.

The Davidson. It's full of wild fish.

robs_seven

I will be hitting if back up soon. It was nice being up there with out the locals and traffic.  The hike was not too bad. I will give it a shot again definitely.

Nothing like leaving something crucial to the trip behind.  In my case, I either forget a reel or I get stuck in an OCD ritual of making sure I didn't forget one!   b';

I did two trips in a row earlier this year. First, forgotten pack with flies, tippet, rest of the BS. Second, (other people do that, right?) slammed the hatch on the rod....no backup. F' me. I was pressing too hard. Slow down, compadre.

robs_seven

Yeah I don't get out much so this morning with little sleep and rushing I left them hanging.  I had packed everything else the day before. Had 2 rods, 2 reels, and shit ton of flies but the waders slipped my foggy mind.

Mike get off that on call shit bro lets fish
