Just saw this on the news:

So what happens to the trout???  I've never fished over there but I believe the DH sections are below the dam.  The way they made it sound the water would all but dry up.  Might make fishing a little easier.   -0-

They are working on the lower Nantahala which caters to kayakers (but holds some nice troots)   the upper Nanty is where  the DH section is.

So they aren't going to let any water through the nantahala dam??
Or they aren't going to let any water through the pipe from queens creek lake?

they will have to keep a minimum flow. sounds like a good time to fish the lower section, which is usually difficulty to fish because of the generation and recreational flows...
ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!
