Smith River TU meet, Thurs, Sept 1st, Rania's uptown Martinsville VA

Smith River Trout Unlimited will meet at Rania's Restaurant in uptown Martinsville, on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at 6:30 pm.  Mike Sepelak (Fisherman Blogger aka Mike's Gone Fishin' ...Again http://www.mikesgonefishing.com/ )  who recently returned from a TU sponsored trip to Montana with side trips to Colorado and Wyoming will make us green with envy as he gives a slide show and talk about his trip.

In addition to Mike's presentation we will discuss the following:

       Initial impressions from those of us who participated in the recent DGIF sampling of the Smith River 

       Feed back from SRTU river clean up and cook out  (Aug 6, 2011)

       Feed back from  SRTU  booth at the Smith River Fest (Aug 13, 2011)

       Plans for December 1, 2011 meeting (Xmas party, overview of previous year,  election & installation of 2012 leadership, presentation by DGIF Biologist Scott Smith concerning
       current status of Smith River Fishery)

       Any other business which would be of interest to the membership

You do not have to be a member of TU to attend our meetings.(You must be a member in order to vote on chapter business).   Anyone who has an interest in the Smith River Fishery is encouraged to attend.

Rania's provides us with a meeting space with the expectation that the majority of attendees will purchase a meal. (Good food, moderate prices).  Address is 147 E. Main St., Martinsville, VA  24112. It is in the historic district of Martinsville known as uptown as it sits on a hill.
