We almost got hit by a tornado a couple of weeks ago. I know some of you got hit.
For those of you that didn't here is what it looks like.

I went fishing yesterday on my friends property. His place was missed by about a  hundred yards. Later on I went to the sub division that was hit. It used to be filled with hundreds of trees and now it looks like a bomb hit it. Some homes were completely gone. Here are some photos.

No one was killed and no one was severely injured. A dog was sucked out of a home and later was found safe.

Oh damn, glad to hear nobody was severely hurt or killed.

Brings back memories of growing up in west central Georgia.  One would come through and just obliterate a stand of pine trees like they were toothpicks, a lot of times snapping them all off about 20 feet off the ground, crazy stuff.

Lord knows I am not trying to "one up you" but our area looks lots worse. If any of you old timers who were in RVN were ever on the ground shortly after a B-52 carpet bomb strike, that is what it reminds me of. In our area the extreame damage was confined to a narrow path, ie one or two streets wide. Thankfully I was on the outside edge. My adjuster was here today and he as not yet plugged our damage into his computer program but he is expecting somewhere in the range of $75K.

I will post some photos  and lessons learned when I have more time.

Thank goodness you made it through Al. Post the photos please.

My prayers are sent the residents of Alabama that were devastated by the tornadoes.
