We were visiting the wife's family out in Boise over the holidays and I got away for a little fishing. I got sick of catching whitefish and not catching stocked steelhead on the river in town so I headed over the Snake River to Eastern Oregon.

Beautiful high desert country and fat browns. There were nice fish rising to a sporadic midge hatch but I only had my 6 wt with me so I  stuck with streamers. I only caught a couple and missed a couple before I had to head back for a dinner, but I'll definitely be headed back there the next time we're in Boise.

I haven't had much time to either fish or post lately. Hopefully, I'll be able to spend more time on the water and on the forum this year.
