I'm goin to Boone on Sunday and have never fished up there. Where is a good place to go while I'm up there to fish?

Best bet like wooly said is the Watauga.  I spoke with a guide last week and he said they put some 20+ inch beast brooks in the river.  There are some good wild waters not too far up 221. Check out the map on NCwildlife in avery county.

Thanks for the info guys.Went up there today between wife and daughter wanting to do other things and other people on the river didnt get to do much fishing.  I will go back for a day of NOTHING but Fishing soon.
