Yesterday morning I headed out to my home water.
I decided to hit an upper stretch where the river is little more than a small foothills creek.
I worked a section about a mile or so long catching pretty little resident rainbows..

I headed home for lunch, and took a nap, then decided to head over to the local DH and chuck some streamers just in case I didn't get another chance to get out there before bloody sunday..
the fish that they put in the river have put on some weight and I caught quite a few chunky brookies with a scrappy rainbow thrown in as well..

This morning I decided to hit another close by small stream.
there were thunder storms rolling around and it was raining on and off, with occasional sunny patches with stained water making the fishing somewhat tough.
I fished big stoneflies and managed to catch a few nice little bows as well as a better than average brown that faught extremely hard and went airborn 3 times..great couple days in the neighborhood..

Don't know ya BRA - but Jesus - you seem to be the king of big hair, big flies.

How the hell do you do hide that mop-head from the fishees?

jus sayin
Stalk softly and carry a green stick.

Sweet brother. I like that brownie, the colors on the adipose fin is always trippy!

Great report as usual. What is that abonimation the DH brookie ate. Looks like a muddler and pink weenie that were caught in some terrible nuclear accident at a DNA lab. ;D

lol that is a streamer that I concocted..probably after a few too many drinks..
basically just a marabou tail with enough closed cell foam tied on the shank in front of that so the beads fit snug..
glue the beads into place, then a spun deer hair head in front..it has caught me some bruisers..

WRector

Good looking Trouts BRA!
There's a big difference between a dry fly dancing through
a riffle and a weighted fur ball dragging on the bottom.

kylemc

way to get after it BRA

Get Bent

That was a mighty fine report !
Konichiwa Bitches!

Nice. Those are always the ones that seem to work the best, when you have the guts to throw them. :D

I know someone from VA who feels nothing in using the pink weenie (even on native Brookies!!!) Hmmm, Woowee, do we wanna invite the mayor of Harrisonburg?

ncguy

Those pics of the Va brookies actually made me tie some up and carry them!

blue ridge angler
