Woolly Bugger,

You shoulda been there...

Was Grand to make it to Shady Valley  this year!!!
Seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Thanks to the Straw Boss (es), cooks and galley wenches.
A few yondering thoughts, recollections  and pictures in no particular order...
Got a delayed early release on Wed. (would of headed north Tue. Ifn  the truck didn't have a leaky radiator).
Dropped off some Shrimp by JT' & Saint Carols house.  Hope the neighbors will forgive me for slingin'
a ton of gravel outta the road.
Stopped at a spot on the way over the mountain and caught 8 of these in @ 30 minutes.

And one of these from the same hole...

Only one wrong turn before I found Bill on the SOHO that evening.
Caught around 20 of these while standing on the same rock.

Thanks Ralph for the DMC Soft hackle fly.  You  are the Man!!!
Thanks Bill and Phil for letting me bunk with ya.
The Spinner fall above Doc's was something to see...

Devinsdad with # 50 on the Beaverdam,  He didn't want it hot spotted so I camouflaged  that
place.

Rubber boots and rain coats mandatory.
Hang gliding on the cook tent optional (requires 50 mph sustained wind).
Beautiful, colorful, scenery, flora, fish and fine  folks ...

Looking forward to the next gathering.

Ain't Life Grand!!!

Stone-Man

One of the best PFF's that we have ever had.
Ended up with about 40 guys who all caught the hell out of trout and smallmouth.

Croaker,Phil and I had an absolutely perverted dry fly bite on a small creek saturday afternoon.

Anybody who missed this one, missed a dandy

That sulpher spinner fall looks unreal, that was on the Thursday night?  Nice fishes too.   0--0

I camped on the Holston this weekend and ran into a three fellers at a turnout on Rock Bridge Rd. on Saturday that said they were camping over at Shady Valley.  It was a great weekend to be down there.

Devinsdad

It was indeed!!

One of the best PFF's ever.  Absolutely slayed them on Friday with Flyguy.

The food, especially Sat breakfast was out of this world.

The sulpher hatch was like nothin I ever seen on the holston before.  18-20" fish literally going airborn to catch a bug

Thunderstorms that would have you running for the underground shelter

Great Campfires and entertainment to go with it.

Sorry you missed it Woolly..
