I got out for a quick camping trip a few weeks ago and was able to squeeze in some fishing between hikes with the family and making smores.  The fish weren't really rising to anything and I figured they wouldn't due to the fact that I was right next to a swimming hole.  I tied on a golden stone fly with a PTN dropper.  I must have hooked 8 or 9 but was only able to bring 5 or 6 to net.  Here's some shots of the day.

My new fishing partners first time out. She did Ok but we had to keep her leashed because she was scaring the teenagers swimming close by.

Caught a few of these too.

Saw a lot of crayfish in the water. It had me wondering if anyone has ever had a lot of luck with that pattern?

Glad you got into a few, I was up there about a month ago and fishing was tough.  Caught lots of shiners and saw lots of snakes, did catch a few trouts though. 0--0

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
