Brown trout that are hungry, looking up and not picky.  And on the Soho with no wind.  That's what it was on Wednesday's midday wade outing.  It's been a while since I've been able to get up there so it was a real treat with the conditions as a friend of mine & I fished slack pools and tailouts of runs for reckless risers.

Caught lots of the average 10-13"ers on sz18 BWO's & sz20 loopwing emergers; friend was fishing sz16&18 adams.  He even got away with using 5x on this bright sunny day and brought one 16"er to hand.  Didn't really see many bugs in the air at all - just one creamish-olive midge.

It was good to finally have a productive fishing trip after a couple of recent skunkers for smallies...I guess I'll leave those snugglin' boys & girls be for a couple more weeks.
