Tiger(once again)

While eating lunch today I was reading the sports and noticed that Tiger was again making headlines.  Apparently at his news conference the other day he was wearing a bracelet.  It was identified as a Budhist bracelet.  I was not aware that Tiger is a Budhist, but apparently he is.  I am a Southerner of primarily British descent from a small town and there is a dearth of people of that religous persuasion in my immediate neighborhood,  soooo, I need some help.  I was wondering if some of you sophisticated cosmopolitan folks (TM comes immediately to mind) would help shed some light on this subject for me?  Is it normal for Budhists to keep harems composed of assorted cocktail waitresses, porn stars, etc.?  I thought they sat around in caves and meditated.
