Ogeechee River 2/17/10...

Garrett is out of school this week and he and Debbie said they'd mind the store so I could
take a day to off to go  Shad fishin'...

Air temp warmed up to 48 degrees F on the thermometer on the front porch before I left the house. 
Yep, I had on long handles and two pair of socks.  Launched the boat and motored to the first good spot.
Had rods rigged with LC-13, class V sinking and a floating line.  Tried several of the usual Shad hang outs.  Nothing...
Tried trolling with the LC-13...  Still skunked except fer one timber trout that ran 1/2 way
cross the river.   Decided to check the water temp.  It was 42 degrees F (measured).  Coldest I've ever
seen on the Ogeechee.

Bill,  only thing you missed was a cold boat ride and a barley pop or two.
