A buddy of mine shot this video up at Philpott Dam yesterday.  I can't remember the last time the bypass gates were opened! 



But...I bet they will be hungry after this!!

I went down to Philpott Dam this evening after work to witness all this water myself.  It is amazing to see this much water in the river and it not be muddy or even stained.  Something else kinda odd is DGIF stocked the upper section of the river today - AT 3640cfs!!  And just to show you the tenacity of a bait fisherman, there was at least 4 trucks up there with people slinging bait out into this current. 

Anyway, here are a few pics from the dam.
