Here is one for you Smith River guys.

This came to me from one of my friends from the Dan River Basin Association (DRBA) and was filmed by some of them in a snowy river kayak trip on Dec 20th down stream of the Martinsville Dam from Marrowbone Creek  to Mitchell Bridge  (You folks who are looking for some smallmouth fishing might want to try this section next summer)

Ok AL your right about this section of the river.The DRBA is right about a good section of the river.Yaks & canoes are well suited for this section and pontoons if you dont mind earning every mile pushing a paddle. .Bring a lunch and enjoy the view along the way.Be safe and dont forget the PFD when on the water.
