Fished at Bassett Friday morning with sub-average results, so as the day warmed up I put the fly rod back in the truck and got the camera and bug seine out.  I had always thought of a green weenie as a spring pattern, but after checking around a little, I may have to tie a few more up.  The green sedges were by far the most prolific critter I was able to kick out of the rocks, followed closely by stoneflies and worms.  I am not sure if it was just the area I was working in or what, but mayflies nymphs were few and far between.

Trout Maharishi

Good photos ;) A green caddis imitation is a good bet in most any trout stream.

You do take some great pictures.  You must be using that camera Trout Boy was talking about. >:D
