S. Fork New River Float --- Warning NOT a Fishing Report!

Floated the South Fork of the New this afternoon from Plumb Nearly Rd put in on down to Riverside Canoes. The water was looking mighty fine and it was a shame that I had to leave the fishing gear at home. However we did have a very enjoyable float on down the river.

me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Nice idea to just take a float and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. We as fishermen too often take a myopic view of things as a result of staring at flies and indicators all day. :(
I've floated some beautiful river valleys and canyons throughout the country, or so I'm told, and regret that I didn't take more time away from fishing to enjoy the scenery.

looks like they got some rain, don't now how clear the water will be...
