Which is better ?

If you had to pick one, because of time restraints which is better, to fish (be in the water) for two and a half hours with bad, tired, wrong equipment or to fish (be in water)for one hour with correct tuned up equipment.

I had to make that choice today and I chose to tune up my gear first....it was an inner battle.

I also found that it did not get dark as soon as I thought it would.
