Has anyone tried Orvis' Bimini tippet with the loops?  Or what would you guys suggest for leaders and tippet? Thanks, TF

Haven't tried the Bimini tippet, but I normally use the old standby 8 foot 5x knotless tapered leader and buy a spool of 6x fluorocarbon tippet material to add on to it.  Usually I will fish around a 9 to 9.5 foot leader depending on the water clarity and casting conditions.  That way as you use up the tippet material, you are not cutting into you leader material as you change flies throughout the day.

If you feel the need to strip a streamer, just cut off the 6x tippet and use the 5x.

Rio, Orvis, or Frogs Hair should get the job done.

my 0.2 cents....

There's a big difference between a dry fly dancing through
a riffle and a weighted fur ball dragging on the bottom.
