August month of the bass!

 here's 3 bass I've caught in August and only went fishing once  caught all three on top. took my daughter fishing on a private pond and caught the big largemouth. got the first smallie while showing 2 clients how to double haul at lunch one day on the new river. the last smallie, (bad picture but you get the idea) was caught after a thunder storm one day and the clients were whackin' average sized bass on streamers and i told them it was a good time to catch a big one on top. i told'm one of them should throw the rod with the popper on it. they said you go ahead and throw it........4 casts later, bam! moral of the story.....always listen to your guide
