As for the correlation, it seems damned obvious to me, a retired scientist. 

It matters little that every cracker white person in Georgia is somehow related to Ty Cobb, I believe this farming Georgian.  It is likely he did see bigfoot in his hayfield; there's little Buffalo Grass in GA.
