4/20 Savannah River, Shad Fishin'...

Didn't get a bite while fishin' from the boat. Tied the boat up at the "No Boating Cable" and stumbled up along the rip rap to the base of the dam...

They were stacked in there... Thought I'd smoke 'em...
Was something to see..

Only three    small (16-20") American Shad to hand, several spit the hook...

Reckon that's why it's called Fishin', not Catchin'...

The Stripers are in up on the Roanoke River, but I think I'll wait 'till early May. Once the harvest is over, there'll only be a half million people there instead of a million. ::)

I'd of thought the shad would be gone by now.  It's been a strange season.  Nice little fish, though.
